WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
Two Guys and Guy is a status-quo Gag-A-Day strip that brings you into the lives of Frank, Wayne and Guy, friends which best are described as “less than perfect people”.
WHO'S RESPONSIBLE?
Rickard Jonasson.
WHAT'S THE LATEST?
Belugas getting the short end of the protester's stick and we see how dumb mob mentality can actually get.
HOW DOES IT ALL START?
Meet Wayne, Guy and Frank. Frank enjoys eating like a walrus or elephant and fighting children over cupcakes.
HOW OFTEN DOES IT GO?
After a long hiatus, it looks like two times a week starting in October.
WHAT'S GOOD?
The art has a very unique style that draws from manga yet with it's own spin. The art has also really improved over the years. The characters are clearly defined in terms of their personalities and gag potential. Guy is a confident and empowered woman. Jokes are crass, dark and edgy in all the right ways. We also like that story lines are continuous but also contained as a gag per strip.
WHAT'S NOT SO GOOD (IN YOUR OPINION ONLY OF COURSE)?
We're reserving the judgment here for later depending on how things evolve. There's a running story line about Wayne's new girlfriend Emily and her seemingly supernatural dark side. Not too sure what is going on here, but sometimes the jokes with Emily are hilarious and sometimes things seem out of place. She is either totally insane or from the thirteenth dimension of hell. It is pretty funny that Wayne and friends just seem to be oblivious. But to each their own because Emily is pretty cute.
WHAT DON'T WE KNOW WE DON'T KNOW?
One of the main reasons we wanted to feature this review was the story of Rickard Jonasson the creator. Go check out what he writes on his Patreon site about his long hiatus from doing the comic. Tons of respect for Rickard being upfront and sharing how he feels about maintaining his work.
WHAT DO YOU REALLY THINK?
This is a great example of a webcomic creator putting out a quality product on his terms. Can't help but give kudos and admire that. We wish more webcomic creators got this kind of support.
WHAT SHOULD WE READ ON TABULIT LIKE THIS?
Here's another title we think you would like if you like Two Guys and Guy.
